Im thinking of getting my first horse, im 14 and iv been riding for 2-3 years and I am looking at getting an Arabian gelding. I was just wondering is 3-4 years old too young for my first horse?? Im keen as , but what do u think?

It depends on how well trained the horse is and how calm/sensible too.  Do you plan to compete in speed events?  That may be too demanding for such a young animal. Are you a good rider?  Do you ride alone? The breed of horse is not as much of an issue as the schooling and steadiness of the horse. I would also have a veterinarian check the horse for soundness.  Good luck and I hope you find the perfect equine friend for years of happy riding pleasure.
