Which Gender

I was wondering which you prefer mares or geldings and which is typically safer and has a more even temperment.

Kacey, if you are going to be riding and or showing a horse then a gelding is probably going to have the most even temperament for your use.  Some mares are more dangerous than stallions when they are in season and some stallions are not safe around other horses.  Many stallions are safely handled and shown/ridden by people who are expert horsesmen.
