odd eating habits

I found our king snake eating his own faeces the other day, is this normal or should i be concerned,

    I have never seen this behavior before, nor have I ever heard of it in snakes. I wonder if he might be suffering from some sort of vitamin deficiency? You might try dusting the food with calcium powder. Once the snake has defecated, remove the feces as quickly as possible.
