Boomslang

Question
Where can I find a boomslang?  I have searched the Internet extensively but have not been able to locate a zoo or other institution that says that they have one.  I am looking to acquire the skin of a boomslang (after it has been shed of course).  They do shed their skin, right?  Do you have any idea how I could go about finding a snake and maybe even obtaining some skin?  Thanks.

Answer
What do you need the skin of that specific snake for?  Depending on what the reason is there's atleast a handful of zoos that do keep boomslangs and may be able to  help you out.  If all else fails boomslangs are still fairly commonly imported in the pet trade and anyone who imports the snake would be fine with sending you a shed skin I'm sure.  I know Ray Hunter of Hunter serpentology use to keep some and as far as I know still imports them though whether or not he would have any on hand right this second I'm not sure.  You may also want to try the classifieds at kingsnake.com and see if any are available and send a message to a person asking for the shed skin.  Also maybe post an ad on venomousreptiles.org as a lot of venomous keepers check those ads and someone should respond.
