QuestionI am currently keeping a indonesian garter snake and a ballpython together.the garters about 1 foot and the ballpythons a little over 2 feet.i just got the gadrter snake.they if stay in the same hide.is this ok and if not why?
AnswerEj,
Both snakes are pretty docile, but anytime you mix different species you risk something bad happening (like the BP eating the garter). You also risk disease for a number of reason, the garter will always be intimidated of the BP and may not eat. This being said, I have seen different breeds mixed successfully without incident.
