hi can my turtles eat cucumbers and can you tell me a few other veggies they can eat ive been feeding them spinach leaf green and purplish color... i give then a lil tomatoe twice aweek but what other things can i give them as treats

Hello Jannelle,

I would cut back on the spinach leaf as a staple since it has higher oxalates.  It will interfere with the calcium absorption.  The tomato should be fed sparingly, as well.
Some better choices would be these greens:

Romaine lettuce
Red and green leaf lettuce
Endive
Escarole
Radicchio
Turnip greens
Mustard greens
Collards
Spring Mix (mixed salad greens)
Green Beans
Squash varieties

There is also turtle food, that is dry & enriched with calcium & other vitamins you can use as a supplement as well.
