bearded dragons on vacation

Question
We love to take family vacations.  Our 2 beardies are part of our family; therefore, I'm looking for a travel home for them.  I've seen the zip bags sold in pet stores and they are nice, but that is short term.  They will need a heat source and lighting for a weekend or one week trip.  We either drive the car or take the motorhome.  Any suggestions, even if I have to make my own reptile hotel.  I've seen the uniheat packs to make a constant heat vs. a heating pad which would probably burn.

Answer
The soft pet carriers are great for while you are in motion.  In the dark, your beardies will nap mostly.  There are collapsable Apogee mesh cages you can get from Reptilesupply.com that will be easy to set up and take down at your destination.  And if you take your beardies out on leashes (Four Paws halter leash), they can get good natural sunshine, and an hour of that will be enough for digestion, a household bulb in a dome light will suffice.  Heat packs would only be necessary if they were in temps under 60 F.
I am under the impression you have adults.  If they are younger than three months old, better to board them at their vet.
