Panther Gecko Tail Loss

We are Gecko sitting for our neighbors.  Skipper lost her tail.  I believe that it was stuck under her cave.  What is the care for her.  I'm putting anitbiotic oitment on it.  She is eating and moving.  Will her tail grow back--and should I get her to the vets.  Her enviroment has not changed.  We go to her house to take care of her.

Antibiotic ointment is fine, but I wouldn't continue it past 2-3 days.  The tail should regrow on its own.  If she is eating she will most likely be fine.  I'm not familiar with a "panther" gecko, do you know the scientific name or other common name?  Or is it perhaps a leopard gecko?
