Question
I have had my ball python for about a year now and i wanted to know if it is natural for a ball python to stay in there hide for a long period of time. (up to a few days.). is this a normal thing or could I be possibly doing something wrong with the care?

Answer
Hi Phil,
They love thier hide box. This is normal as they like being in small dark places. Be sure the temperature is at around 95F on one end and about 82F on the other end. If it is to hot they will try to find the cooler spot. If your temperatures are ok you have nothing to worry about. Thanks for bringing this up. Edmund Brown [ReptileEd]
