Baby ball pythons

Question
Hello Mr. Herman. My question is about baby ball pythons. My friend purchased a baby ball python about 3 months ago. The snake has been fine and my friends have been fine around it. But just the other day, the snake tried to bite my friend in the face and then tried to bite her boyfriend on hte arm later on that same day. They wanted me to see why the snake could be reacting this way and see if it could possibly be time for hibernation or if it is too early. They would just like to know why it is being so aggresive now. If there could be something wrong, hibernation time, or what.
I'm sorry if this is a vague question, but this was all the information I was given about the subject. And I asked what they wanted me to, so I hope you can help.

Thank you.

Brooke

Answer
Hi Brooke,
well ball/royal pythons do not hibernate, but it is not uncommon for a baby python or boa's to strike out once in a while, but with consistant handeling this will go a way, make sure the baby is eating enough or getting enough at feeding time, should be eating a couple of fuzzys a week.other than that have them handle the baby everyday (except 24hrs after feeding)and he/she will mellow out.

tyanks for the ?
