Leopard Geckos in the house

Question
Hi Diane,
I am considering buying 2 leopard geckos. Would it be okay if I just let them go in the house instead of keeping them in a tank? I would leave out food and everything. Is there anything that can go wrong with this?

Answer
Nope, it wouldn't be OK in any way.   They eat live insects..this means you would be putting insects free ion your house..there would be thousands of places for the insects to hide which means the geckos would not be able to get them...the insects would die, breed, etc..

The geckos would most likely never come out...
they require specific temperatures to survive...being loose in a house there is no way for them to have those specific temperatures.. They are small...they could get stuck in some bad places that they would not be able to get out of. They can get stepped on...
Actually, there is no good points on even considering free roaming leopard geckos but the list  of bad points is endless.
If you want to own leopard geckos, then its vital to have the correct information on keeping them.  If you want more than one, each needs to have their own set up of at least a 20 gallon tank and all the items they need for their care. If you are interested in keeping geckos, I can offer you a care sheet on them.  Just let me know.
