cricket keeping

Hi, about a day ago i got an 18 gallon tote to put crickets in there are about 30-40 crickets in there with toilet paper tubes and egg cartons.  Here are the questions.  How many crickets can i keep in it?  And how do you stop them from climbing up the sides of the tote?

Hello, You can put about 500 to 1000 in there but be aware that if the crickets are all adult sized and you opt for a larger amount you may get alot of deaths. I kept my crickets in ten gallon fish tanks with fine wire mesh lids so they couldnt get out I reccomend cutting a section of teh lid of the tote out and hot gluing/stapling a piece of wire screen over the hole this allows air flow to pervent alot of moister and it better then leaving the lid off because it will keep the cricket smell in and the crickets.
