I have two drinking stations a little pot of calcium. PLEASE COULD YOU HELP THIS IS MY FIRST EXPERIENCE WITH REPTILES AND I PANIC ALL DAY AND ALL NIGHT HELP!!!!!!!!

ANSWER: Hello Darren,

Have you gotten a fecal done on him?  Are the stools runny & smelly?
Do you have the heatmat right by the basking light so they have a hot spot of around 88-90?
You will also need a moist hide or cave for them to help with shedding.
They probably have worms or parasites since they came from a petstore, correct?  It is quite common.
How long have you had them for now?
What are you feeding them?

QUESTION: is a fecal a test on poo if yes i havent done that. yes very runny and smelly, yes the heatmat is near the basking light. i have thwe right temps both sides of the tank.go a moist hide on the cool side. yes i got them from a petshop. ive had the older one for about 3 months and he's fine the smaller one girl (i think)  about 1 and half months. i'm feeding them crickets gut loaded, mealworms, locust and the odd waxworm, tried veg but no luck. Thank you very much for the help your a star!!! i've gone to get some parasite and some vitimin paste see hoe that goes. nd to see if there is anything they do for worms (all medicine products from a  petshop) do u think a trip to the vets is needed?????

ANSWER: Hello Darren,

Yes, a fecal test is a test on the stool.  If the stool is runny & smelly then she definitely has parasites.  They probably both need to be treated because it is pretty contagious with them living in the same quarters.
What parasite med did you get, parazap?  If so, that is pretty good.  I would use it for 5-7 days, that is all it should take.  Keep them well hydrated while on the parazap.
There is a medication called panacur, & I can give you a website that you can guy it from if you would like, that is not a problem.  If you decide to go that way let me know & I can help dose it for your geckos.  Panacur is a routine dewormer used for reptiles.
Petstores do not keep their enclosures clean most of the time.
The setup sounds good, as long as they have the hotspot at one end & then a cooler side, too.  When they are getting ready to shed though you will need to bring up the humidity so you will need to put the hide or cave with the moisture on the warmer side so it gets more humid.
Other than that, everything looks great.
Let me know how they are doing.

Answer
Hello Darren,
Great they are doing better now.  Only 1 day left of treatment, finally.  I know they will probably be glad to be done with it.
It normally takes a couple of weeks to shed, when they begin to look dull or whitish.
Yes, when they are ill, they are very mess when they go to the bathroom.
I am happy to hear that they are getting better now!
