Australian WD Egg carrying

Question
Hi I have a few reptiles. A Bearded Dragon,A Royal Python and a Pair of Australian Wd's. I have had the AWD's from when they where babys. I need a little help with my Female Aus. Recently she has put on a bit of weight. Now I am hoping she is carrying eggs. But there is no visible sign when I look at her stomach. She has been eating well and has been spending a lot of time in the water. I know that I will probably have to put her in2 one of my spare vivs if she is carrying. But my question is how long will she carry eggs for before laying them. Thanx for any help you can give me. Rob

Answer
Hello Robert, it could be possible she can be gravid. Just do some research and keep watching for signs. They can curry eggs for a good 2 months. within the first 2-3 weeks you can notice the eggs in her mid section
They will lay eggs wether the eggs are fertile or not, wether they have mated or not so special care is needed. She needs much more vitamins & calcium.
There isn't a lot of information about Aussie dragons out there but you can go off the chinese water dragon information as egg laying and such is pretty basic.
