Question
Our bearded has something (about 1/16") sticking out after attempting to mate with our female.  He has tried repeatedly to mate with her over the past couple of months and although he asks, and she agrees, and he grabs her neck, etc. he has never been able to complete the act.  It's like he doesn't know how to curl his body and finalize the act.

anyway, he has this part sticking out.  My daughter thought it was leftover poo, but I'm sure it isn't.

Why keep it wrapped in sugar water??  We can get him to the vet tomorrow.

thanks for your answer.  sorry for the long narrative

Answer
First of all the organ must be kept clean and moist.  Sugar is good to reduce inflamation and reduce swelling.  It works very well on prolapses of all kinds in all species.  If your male is under 18 months, do not attempt to mate him, he's too young.  Keep him separated per the vet's reccmmendations.
