blue bellied lizard

I just found a lot of lizards in my yard i believe that they are fence lizards. My nephews love to chase them and catch them but I'm afraid they are poisonous and my nephews will get bit. I would like to know if they are poisonous or if it is okay to let my nephews catch them?

 If they have blue bellies then you are in California and what you have are western fence lizards.  Thay are not venomous.  They are wonderful for gardens as they will eat the garden pests and not hurt the plants.  But stress can kill these lizards, so I would allow the nephews to watch only.
