anloe eye infection

hi, my green anole has had eyes mostly closed for about a week, we did take to vet gave antibotic drops and does not seem to be working. are there topical or drops to be used directly? im very worried about him. thanks, kim

First off let me apologize for not answering sooner.  Two e-mail's from All experts got buried among other email and I missed it once again I do apologize for my lateness.  That said, if you've already taken him to a vet I would go with what they told you with the understanding that they are qualified "reptile" vet.  Reptiles generally speaking seem to have a longer recovery time vs mammalian pets.  Now then,  Did they say what caused the eyes to close in the first place what temperatures are available? Is there UVB available?  These parameters should also be checked. Answering the above would help me to answer question more in depth.
