Question

This is Lemon
I just barely got my leo Lemon a few weeks ago and I wanted to pick her up so I tried and she made a noise that sounded like it was coming from her mouth and nose and so today she was shedding and I tried to help her get a flap of skin off of her head(she didn't even notice it and I laughed at her a few times) and she tried to bite me! and a few days ago she licked me so I was wondering what was the freak out for? And what was the noise?!

Answer
Lizards expel air in a hiss when annoyed, also, if they are shedding, a tiny bit of shed can partially obstruct a nostril, so when she hisses, it may whistle.  Never help your lizard remove shed, leopard geckos will eat their shed normally, and if you try and help you may damage underlying scales in the process.  Also, when reptiles shed, they do get grumpy, so just keep the tank well misted and they'll be happier.  Very pretty girl, by the way.
