Leopard geckos breeding season

Question
QUESTION: Tracie, all the info I read on leopard geckos say their breeding season is Feb through October but mine are breeding now and I have a female ready to lay any day. How is this possible and is there something wrong?

Dena

ANSWER: Hello Dena!
What's up?
That is so odd!  I cannot believe that they are breeding now, that is insane!  No, I don't think anything is wrong, but they must be healthy & the temperatures all must be good.  They are all housed in pairs correct?
Wow, you already have a female ready to lay in December?  That is crazy.
All I can say is to be sure to keep the calcium up as I am sure that you are already doing.

QUESTION: Tracie, yes all the temps are good, calcium is good (they are eating it from the bowels I have in there like it is a snake or something). I cant believe it myself. All of them are fat and happy (maybe a little too happy LOL)Ok just checking because it is so early for them to be breeding I thought I did something wrong. Thanks for your help. Hope you had a great turkey day and Merry Christmas......

Answer
Hello Dena,

Yeah maybe they are too happy!  LOL  This is just strange that they are breeding now, in the middle of winter time.  They sound very healthy too which is great!  So they are eating really well too, that is awesome!
We had a good thanksgiving & I hope you did also.
Merry Christmas.
