Question
QUESTION: Sorry Im asking you alot of quesions but I do not have a local reptile vet.  And all my friends don't have any expirience in lizards.  I had my lizards like a week now.  I am taking a vacation to FL.  Can I bring them along?

ANSWER: Hello Michael, it is ok to ask a lot of questions, I don't mind. You can take them with you as I said just be sure to maintain their heat and humidity levels. Keep the heat on in the car, and take a mist bottle to give them humidity. They will be fine in their tank if you can keep those things correct and feed them everyday. Don't take them out of the tank it can stress them especially if they have to spend the trip in a little box. But you can bring them with if the hotel or wherever you are staying will allow it. Good luck!

QUESTION: I just came to Florida and they had a very wild trip.  One is brown and all wrinkly sometimes.  The other one is sometimes very Brown almost black.  But after coming to Florida in the warm weather they were very green the most green I ever saw.  But coming in the hotel they turned all wrinkly and brown.  I'm sure my temperature is ok.  It is about always 70-75F. Why
do they turn all brown?

ANSWER: It might be because of the humidity. Florida is very humid and inside will dry it up a bit. Do you have a hygrometer (humidity gauge) and are you misting the enclosure often? The humidity needs to be about 70% to make them comfortable. The natural humidity in FL probably makes them feel really relaxed and happy. So check the humidity that seems like the most likely reason they were happy outside but not inside. They might also just be stressed from the moving. Give them some time to settle in as well. Be sure they are eating.

Good luck

QUESTION: Ok we came home.  There is this really fat one that is always green.  The other one is eating very well but is always brown?

Answer
Hi,
Do you know their genders? The green one could be dominant over the other and this usually happens with two males. Which can be dangerous and they can fight to the death if not separated. So find out the genders and make sure you do not have two males. Brown is stressed so something is bothering him but sense the other is green it seems the humidity and temperatures are correct. So it must be the other anole stressing him. Try to separate them if you can. If you have a 20 gallon or larger tank then put a devider down the middle so they can not see eachother. Sometimes two females or a male and female can fight too, but its not as common.

Another possibility is that he is ill, but he is eating well so it doesn't sound like he is sick but keep an eye on him.

Let me know how it goes
