Question
hello Natasha,
I am having some real problems with my rabbit. She is a year old, and despite patient stroking, and hand feeding will not allow me to pick her up or carry her at all. When i go to pick her up she scrabbles and bites. I have had male rabbits before and have never had problems with them. She has excercise every day in a run, but cannot be allowed the freedom of the garden as with my other rabbits because she refuses to be picked up. Curently, i have to get her to sit in a box in her run, so i can get her from hutch to garden and back again, i have to use food to tempt her into it. It takes a long time!! any advise on winning her over would be great. Thanks. Charlotte

Answer
Hi charlotte,
you know what i use to have the exsact same problem as you. You always get this problem is females more than male. Male rabbits are more loving then female rabbits to.

But you can slove this problem is you really want to, but i will warn you...it will take Time and Patience.ok.

When i couldnt get my rabbit in i use to neal down and call her name and just talk to her softly like Come here and be a good girl. This didnt always work but somtimes she would just stare at me and make her way over. I use to then say Good girl and if i had any i would give her treat and pick her up, but she would just to try and run away but i just use to quickly granb her and say No, STOP STRUGGLING.So that is one way what you could try.

And if she goes to bite you tap her on the nose or on the bum and say NO THATS NAUGHTY, make sure you say it firmly like you mean it.

Just try this and see if it works but like i said Time and Patience.           From natasha
