Dwarf bunny in love

Question
Dear Vision Hills,
My husband and I were on our way home when I saw this white bunny (Aphrodite, Dite for short) out in the rain. I made him turn around and go back so I could help it. Later that day I found out that it was a Dwarf bunny. It's been 2 weeks and she is now officially our child, so here are my questions to you. . .
1. Can my bunny become attached to me like any other pet would? (ex: dog, bird, cat, horse. . )She's out at LEAST once a day, if not more and
she seems to "snuggle" with me when I hold her.
2. Dite seems to love this plastic food dish I bought her. She throws it around her cage and nibbles on it. I bought her a new glass one that's heavier but, I let her keep the other one as a toy,is it okay for her to be chewing on the plastic?
Thanks so much!

Answer
Yes, bunnies are very social creatures and will bond to humans if there are no other rabbits around.  And if she isn't spayed, when she reaches sexual maturity she will really love you (i.e. spray, mount).  But spaying will take care of that behavior but leave her still bonded with you.

Bunnies have to chew, their teeth grow continuously throughout their lives.  If you have old phone books, cardboard boxes, untreated wicker baskets, hard baby toys, etc. you can give her all sorts of things to chew on that will keep her away from the plastic.  As long as there aren't big pieces missing, it's ok.

And besides, it's fun to fling around at 3 am to wake the humans up!
