Question
Hello, I have a Bunny who is constantly shedding. Is this normal? I have had many rabbits and none have shed like this guy. Also, we had him nuttered and he is almost worst in behavior than he was before. He has bitten me and he growls. Sometimes he lets us pet him and he will come out and flip around but basicly he just sleeps and eats and SHEDS. Any suggestions to keep the hair down? He was nuttered last december, will his attitude change? Thank you, Fay

Answer
A lot of rabbits seem to be shedding heavily this year, but no, it isn't normal.  Generally they shed for a few weeks and then stop for several months.

Most rabbits when neutered calm down, was he like this before the neuter?  If so, there may be something in the environment he doesn't like, such as another animal or a smell (cigar, perfume, cleaners).
