Question
Hi, I have a 2 1/2 year giant flemish who just had babies this am. A tiny wild rabbit got in the yard!
She will have nothing to do with them and I have tried to help but she is very skiddish. I have tried feeding them with kitty supplimentbut I dont know how much or when.
I have them on a heating pad on low. I know they will not have the mothers colostrum. What are their chances?
Thank you for your time, Mary Plank

Answer
Is she not nursing the wild rabbit? Moms nurse very rarely usually only 2-3 times in a whole day. She will only nurse when you are not around. Leave the babies with her for a full day. Check on them two or three times that day, and if their bellies are prominent and full, then she is nursing.
If she is not nursing at all...
