Question
i have two does one buck breed them a few times this time babys have lite gray hair not white all other litters was white before this litters what happend  thay are californian rabbits

Answer
Californians have this gene that makes them have dark color at all their points. The nose, ears, feet and tail. This is a temperature sensitive gene that when it is colder the color comes in darker. Sometimes when the babies bodies get colder when in the nest box thier first coat will come in grayish. This is called frosting. This coloring will go away with the first moult.
