Sloppy Rabbit Poo

Question
Hi, my rabbit is about three months old now. However since we got her (about 6 weeks old) she has passed a combination of both "normal" round solid poop and sloppy ones. She is litter trained and does this fairly well, she manages to get all her solid poop in the tray but the sloppy stuff is distributed around the room. I did read that lettuce and fruit could give her the sloppy problem so I have limited this and the problem continues. I have noted that she tends to do more sloppy poop around her water bottle and food area, however, she also tends to do some while she is being petted and stroked. Other than this issues she is a happy and healthy rabbit. Where am I going wrong? Is it her diet? I am feeding her mainly rabbit mixture/pellet food, with the occasional lettuce, carrot etc and she regularly goes out in the garden and eats grass. I cant understand why she is passing a combination of sloppy and solid poop?!!

Answer
Generally the diet is the first thing to check.  If you remove all the veggies, does the problem continue?  Is she eating hay, that is a very good source of fiber for rabbits.  If removing the veggies doesn't do it, can you try another brand of pellets?

If none of that works, you might have her checked out to make sure she does not have a parasite or other intestinal issue that is causing this.
