Question
We have a 3yr. old guinea pig and have just recently purchased a 5wk.old Mini-Rex bunny. Should we put them together in the same cage. We are considering constructing our own "Pet Condo"
that will have a lot of room. We will be keeping them indoors. We are also going to try to litter train the bunny. The guinea pig is not litter trained.

Answer
You could put them in the same cage, but if the rabbit starts attacking the guinea pig separate them.  You may also give the guinea pig a place he can get away into that the rabbit cannot.  I know that's not possible now, but when the rabbit gets older he will become larger than the guinea pig.

Also guinea pigs can't manufacture their own vitamin C, so they do need different foods, the guinea pig shouldn't live just on the rabbit food.
