Question
Hi, My Rabbit Was 22 Weeks Old And I Was Taking Him To The Vets For His First Vaccination, The Vet Said He Was A Very Healthy Friendly Rabbit And He Had No Problems, But When I Started Getting Him Out Thursday He Was Making Funny Noises, And By Firday They Hadn't Stopped, Saturday He Wasn't Moving Very Much And I Could Tell He Was Very Ill, He Lost Power In His Back Legs I Booked An Emergency Appointment For Him That Day, When He Died Just Before He Got There, I Know He'd Recently Had Maggotts Before The Vets But The Vet Couldnt Find Any, I Was Wandering If He May Have Eaten A Poisonous Plant Or Something =[ Please Write Back!

Answer
Aww Chloe I am so sorry for your loss.  Just about anything could have happened.  Rabbits can become so sick so fast and for so many reasons.  Without an autopsy it is impossible to tell.  If you do have plants in your house or in the area where he was he may have got into something.  Maggots are usually from warble fly bites.  It is possible that it got into one of his organs and if you don't find the larvae right away they are often fatal.

I am really so so sorry.  I know how sad it is to lose a friend.  I attached something that might make you feel a little more comfort
