Kit with no ear?

Question
I have a litter of 7 dwarf lop bunnies. This is the mothers first litter so I think what happened was that she got too carried away with cleaning and chewed one of the kits ears almost off. It is now tiny in comparison with it's other ear. My question is will it still be realitively healthy ear wise? Will it get many ear infections?

Answer
Dear Tina,

Actually, the open ear might have a *lower* chance of infections than the lopped one.  Lop rabbits seem to be more prone to this problem than other rabbits.

As long as the bunny can reach his ear with his hind foot to groom it clean, he should be fine.
