Question
Hello,

I have an 8 month old rabbit name coco. He is litter trained so we let him run around the house 24/7, never put him in a cage.

When I go to sleep, i would close the bedroom door so he would not come in while i'm sleeping. However, i noticed taht ever morning between 6:30 to 7am (thats when i wake up for work) he would stand in front of the bedroom door keep on scratching until i open the door for him. He has been doing this for the past couple of weeks and 2 months earlier, he was doing this also then stopped for a while. i'm not sure if he is trying to wake me up for work or what. Do you have any idea?

thanks

Answer
Dear Phil,

He knows you're in there, and he wants love and attention!  I doubt he's so altruistic to care if you're late for work.  But hey, if you have a bunny alarm clock, what could be better?

I have had bunnies who used to jump up into bed and kiss us awake in the morning when they wanted food or attention.  You're missing out by locking him out of the bedroom.  ;) It's the cutest thing.

Hope this helps.

Dana
