Question
QUESTION: i found a wild rabbit with its eyes still closed its eyes are now open but I've had it for probably 2 or 3 days i just need to know if there is a place close around or how to care for it because i would feel awful if it dies...please help
         Sincerely,
         Sarah

ANSWER: Dear Sarah,

If it's been 2-3 days since you found it, it is probably too late to return the baby to the nest, but that would have been the best option.  For instructions on how to care for the baby, please read:

I've had good success with the formula recipe and procedures described here:

Good luck!

QUESTION: well my we took the rabbit out of a dogs mouth so i have no idea were the nest would be sorry forgot that part. i read that after 10 days its eyes will open so it has to be at least 2 weeks or a little over. but we bottle feed it milk replacement for puppies and regular rabbit food and water and it seems to be doing just fine. so I'm very glad for that it has a big stomach but it goes to the bathroom and awful lot. is that normal because there is alot. but i was wondering if there was anything really important that it needs to have of lots of room or anything.

Answer
Dear Sarah,

As long as the poops are not runny or mushy, the more the better.  I'm glad he's doing well.  Just refer to the two articles I sent before for complete information on successfully raising and releasing this little guy.

If the bunny is doing well, then keep up the good work!  :)  As he grows, he'll need a space to run and develop his muscles, but you can judge that by his behavior:  if he's acting crazy or frustrated and is running around trying to escape, he needs more room.

Good luck!
