Question
About 1 year ago I got a bunny. She is about 2 years old. When I got her she was pretty big and healthy but sadly now she is very skinny, she has like no fat and when I feel her she is all bone. I also noticed that she was not eating alot so I bought her into the house. Now she eats a little bit and still goes to the bathroom but I also noticed that her nose appears swollen. She is breathing very heavy and wheezes sometimes. She doesnt seem to be getting a whole lot better. I have no idea of what could be wrong.

Answer
Hi Brianna,

for God's sake, get her to a good rabbit vet ASAP!  You don't just sit around and do nothing when you see a rabbit getting sicker and sicker.

They don't get better on their own!  Get her to a good rabbit vet immediately.  She's not a toaster, she's a living animal.  She needs CARE from you and that means getting her to the vet.

If you don't have a good rabbit vet, go to:

www.rabbit.org/vets/vets.html

You really have to understand that when animals are sick, you take them in to someone that can determine what it is and provide you with treatment options.  YOu NEVER, NEVER sit around and jsut do nothing.  These animals are totally dependent on you.

Please get to a good rabbit vet as soon as physically possible, and if you live in an area that has an emergency vet service where you are, I would strongly consider going there just to make sure she gets enough care to live to see your regular good rabbit vet.
