rabbits fur color

HELLO~I want to ask a question about rabbit's fur color changes wether it has something to do with their eating.
Can you give me a exact answer? Or it just is controled by genes?     Thank you a lot

A colour change is usually genetic (some colours do change as the rabbit gets older). However, it can also be due to a dead coat. This is where the fur is getting ready to be shed out. Darker colour rabbits often take on a reddish or brownish cast to their colour just before they start shedding out their old coat.
