Question
My Doe has had babies several times. the last 2 times they died because she didn't produce any milk. She has had other successful babies . I have continued to feed her the same as always.Any answers?

Answer
Hi,

breeding is out of my line of experience.

What I will say which you already know is that there seems to be a real problem with her having babies and not producing milk to keep them alive.  Given you are not doing anything different in terms of feeding, etc, I would suggest that given the last two pregnancies had this problem, it might be a good thing not to breed her anymore.  Whatever is supposed to happen to either get her to produce milk or getting the milk to drop is not happening.  I would say it's in her best interest right now not to breed her again.  Especially if she's had a number of litters already and she's several years old.

I'd be inclined to get her in for an exam by a good rabbit vet just to do an overall wellness exam, given what's occurred.  Just to make sure there's nothing bad going on inside her that could be treated successfully if you find it now (earlier is better).
