Question
I have a baby broken blue...Recently he started to drink ALOT of water...I'm filling his water bottle 3-4 times a day...I have check the bottle to make sure its not leaking but his water bottle is always empty...within 2 hrs of me filling it.  Is this normal?  if not what could be the cause and what should I do?

Answer
Dear Heidi,

Excessive drinking and excessive urination can be a sign of kidney disease, and your bunny needs to be checked by a good rabbit vet ASAP:

Normal intake for a mammal is 90-100ml/kg per day (including what's in the food), so if the intake is more than this, there could be a problem.  Kidney disease is rare in babies, but exposure to toxins can cause this.  Please waste no time in getting him to a good vet for diagnosis and treatment.
