Question
I have 4 rabbits that are 9 weeks old and i live in nova scotia and i was wandering if it was to early to put the rabbits outside? I was also wandering if it would be alright to put the males in with the male rabbit and the females together?

Answer
Hi Susan. If these rabbits have been raised in a warm environment of over 55 degrees I would not put them outside until it is warmer. They will not have a thick enough coat to keep their body heat in. Your young males can stay together for a while but you should not put them in with an adult male. He will fight them and can do considerable harm to them. The females may be left with their mother as long as she does not start fighting with them. If this happens you can take her out and the young females may be left together for a while. Some time soon though, you will have to move every one to a seperate cage of their own to protect them from fighting each other and getting hurt.   Pat
