Question

Answer
Dear Marion,

If this is your first bunny, then there's more for you to learn than I can put in a single email.  I can, however, direct you to some excellent web sites with all the information you'll need to get started.

For handling:

http://www.rabbitrehome.org.uk/care/handling.asp

For housing:

http://www.rabbit.org/faq/sections/housing.html

For diet:

http://www.rabbit.org/faq/sections/diet.html

and for more articles on health and care:

www.rabbit.org/
and
www.bio.miami.edu/hare/rabbithealth.html

You can find a good rabbit vet here:

www.rabbit.org/vets

which is good to do before you need one.  If this is a baby rabbit, please be sure to read:

www.bio.miami.edu/hare/poop.html

Baby rabbits from pet stores are often sold too young to be weaned, and at the first sign of runny stool you should consider it an emergency.  I hope this doesn't happen, but it's good to be prepared.

I hope this helps.
