QuestionAbout a month and a half ago, I went to pick up my rabbit and noticed that she was breathing really loudly. I brought her outside for her and her sister's daily hour of exercise, and she acted completely normal. When I brought her to the vet, she gave me some drops to put in her nose for a few days. About two days later, she was completely normal, although the vet said that she should get a runny nose or something after a few days of this medication. Now, she's still fine, but I want to know-what was wrong?
P.S. On an unrelated note, my rabbits are four years old and have never been spayed or given any vaccines. Is it too late now?
AnswerHi Natalie.
I can't possibly tell you what is/was wrong with your little girl, unfortunately I don't know enough about veterinary matters, the best thing for you to do is to ask the 'expert' Dana Krempels, she's excellent on veterinary matters :-)
It's never to late to vaccinate :-) With regards to being spayed the best thing to do is to get your vet to check them over and have a good chat with your vet.
As long as your bunnies are healthy then there should be no reason not to vaccinate
Hope this helps and sorry I couldn't help with what was wrong with your girl
