There are many different diseases a bunny can get:  almost as many as a human can get. Rabbits can (and often do) get bacterial infections (abscesses or respiratory), and there are two known viruses that are deadly to rabbits (VHD and myxomatosis).

Rabbits also can be afflicted with organ problems, such as renal failure, liver disease, dental problems (very common!) and other things.  Some diseases may be related to diet and husbandry, and others to their genetic heritage.
