Question
Okay, so I just got a baby bunny and I have just a couple questions that i need an answer for ASAP!
   1. My sister told me that she hear from someone that with a baby bunny u should/must wipe their stomaches and bottoms so it is easier for the baby to poop. Is that correct? I have had this baby bunny for over 2 days and it hasn't pooped yet. Is something wrong with him or is that normal? I would very much appreciate if you may answer this. I also heard that if the baby bunny does not poop, in a matter of time it may blow up, or some how die. Is that true? I believe so that you answered a question for someone about feeding the baby felix cat milk. Were could I buy that, and what is the difference from 2% or 1% milk from a grocery shop. If you could please answer these questions ASAP I would very much appreciate that. By the way the baby's name is SPEEDO=]

Answer
hello joey

No that is not true, there is really no need to wipe their stomaches and bottoms, rabbits are very very clean animals and will wipe and clean them selves. you didnt mention how old your baby bunny is. if he has just left his mum and is about 8 or 9 weeks old then this may be why ,either he is really missing his mum and other siblings or it could be that he has not settled in his new home very well yet and could take a couple more days to get used to is environment, im guessing that he is not eating very much which is why he has not poo'ed yet. however have you ever seen him eat any poo's? it may be that he has poo'ed and had eaten them straight away as their poo is full of healthy nutrients which is why they eat it.

they will not actually blow up if a rabbit dont poo for a while however it can do harm to a rabbits bottom which can lead to serious problems.

you can buy felix cat milk from your nearest corner shop or even a pet shop. there is no need to feed your bunny milk as he has already been weaned and does not requirer this anymore.

avoid feeding your bunny any veg or grass until at least 5 months old, then start to introduce new foods slowly.

if after a few more days of not pooing then take him to the vets to have a check up.

hope this helps

let me know if i can help you with any thing else
