Male chews on female during mating.

Question
I recently paired up a male and female lop ear couple for mating. The female does not openly want to mate the male although she just sits there if he mounts her.  After she does not accept a couple of times, the male starts chewing on various parts of her such as her eyes, ears, neck and bottom.  Is there any reason that he does this?  I am afraid that him chewing on her eyelids in such a way is going to cause him to cut them and hurt her. What, if anything, can i do to make sure he isn't hurting her.

hi you should only put the doe to the buck to mate and if she accepts him it will only take about 2 mins. if she rejects him she may try and bite him.
chewing her is quite common but as soon as this starts i wou;d remove her back to her cage and try about a week later.
