rabbits nail

hello,

today i accidently caught my rabbits foot in the back door. it started bleeding and she was limping. it didn't seem to bother her too much as she started cleaning it. she didn't want me to touch it. i think she has maybe just pulled her nail or something. but i feel awful as she is only a few months old. will she be okay? and can i help her at all? thank you xx

Hi Elli. If your bunny broke or lost her nail she will be fine soon. I do suggest that you look at her foot carefully to make sure that she has not cut the skin any place. If so you should put a little antibiotic cream on it. If she has lost the nail it may or may not grow back. But either way she should be fine.  Try to keep her nails trimmed. It is safer for her and more compfortable also.   Pat
