Question
So, I just got my bunnie yesterday and I was told it's bout a month old. It eats when it's hungry I guess and it drinks alright amounts of water. But what I want to know is, is my bunny to young to be away from it's mom?

Answer
Hi Jenna
It does sound like its a little early for bunny to be away from it's Mother. Normally 6 weeks is the minimum, but some rabbits are on solid foods as early as four to five weeks. Just give him his pellets for now for the first 2 months. Around 16 weeks you can begin offering one new piece of greens. Give him a very small amount and any sign of loose stool then back off right away.
I would give him few enough pellets at a time so you can monitor how much he's eating. If he loses weight you can supplement kitten milk that you buy at any pet store. It's in a can. I have a few posts answered questions) on how to correctly syringe feed if absolutely necessary.
So yes, he is too young, but see how he does. If he's just over a month then he'll be closer to the six week mark. If you have a photo of him, I have raised rabbits and can help you take a guess at his age. If he is comfortably eating then my guess is he'll be ok, even if he is young. Just monitor how much he's eating and if he's gaining or losing weight. If you have a scale measuring in grams then this will be the surest way to know if he's gaining weight. It's easier then going by a visual account because sometimes the animal will lose a fair amount of weight in between when it catches our attention. The milk is a end of the line last case scenario. If he's comfortably eating pellets then let's just monitor for now.
Why don't you call back the place where you got him and ask more details. Was it a pet store? Ask them how long they have had him in the store. If it's a private breeder, they might know the Birth date. It's worth a shot.
Good luck to you. Feel free to send a follow-up and a photo.
Thanks.
A.
