I have a white British giant rabbit, she is bitting me everytime i feed her, clean her out? what am I doing wrong with her. Please help

Answer
Hello louise

To be honest you most probably are not doing any thing wrong. Some rabbits seem to turn on the owners when they are feeling bored, scared or lonely. All they really want is some company. If she is living on her own you can always try and see how she gets along with another bunny.

i have a few ideas that may help you.

Firstly i would buy her some fun toys to play with, my bunnies love running in and out of rabbit tubes/tunels. You can even out some treats in side for her.

Next time she is in her cage try this: Sit down beside her cage and feed her fav treats through the cage wire. In time she will get to know that you love her and want to be her friend as well as reconising your smell. Keep talking to her to as she will really get to know your voice and remember that it is you.

Does she have a run to play in? If not get her one she will love the exercising and will also tirer her out which will make it easier for you to handle her. When she is more relexed get some food and go sit with her in the run. give her a treat straight away so she knows that you mean no harm.I bet she will soon be climbing on your lap wanting cuddles and more food.

Please dont give up on her, this may take some time

good luck

hope this helps
