Question
what is a pot bellied pig and how big are they

Answer
The term "pot-bellied pig" is used to describe the pigs of Asian descent often kept as pets in the United States. The ancestors of these pigs came from various places in SE Asia, mostly Vietnam, so they are sometimes called "Vietnamese pot-bellied pigs".
These pigs were brought to the United States in the 1980s through Canada. The original pigs were solid black, about the size of a medium-large dog, and weighed between 200 - 300 lb. Other groups of pigs were brought in later, including "Sweedish White" pigs. These pigs were white, and arrived in the US via Sweeden, but are also of Asian descent.
Sometimes called "miniature" pigs, they are indeed miniature compared to their 1000+ lb farm hog cousins.
Pot-bellied pigs have small, erect ears and slight sway backs, giving them a "pot-bellied" look. They often have wrinkled snouts or faces, are usually mid-calf to knee-high, and weigh between 75 and 275 lb. They may be black, white, or mixed.
