potty box

Question
My pbp is 6months old and has been doing great. The other day he started pushing out almost all his Pine shavings from his potty box to where he sleeps.  (the pine is clean he hasn't used it).  This has got me really confused. I can get it up put it back in there and within min. he has it pushed under is pillow and around his sleep area. Please help me understand this one.

He is using the box as a toy.
All I can suggest is getting another toy for him.
He probably will get bored with the shavings and stop, however.
But take an empty 2 leter plastic pop bottle, put feed in it, and make holes so when he pushes it around a little feed will come out.
He will hopefully be entertained.
