Question
Hi, my pig has recently started leaving his penis out all the time. He hasn't been nuetured yet he is aprox.3 months old. Would it help to have him neutered?

Answer
Yes, neutering him will help a lot. Intact male pigs often carry their penises out, but neutered males keep them sheathed. It can be dangerous for intact males if the penis is stepped on and damaged.

It will take about 30 days after neutering for all the excess hormones to leave his system. The older he is at neutering, the longer that purging process will take.
