Pig biting wall

Question
My male potbelly, Sammy, is biting the wall. I thought I had broken him and our other pig, Daisy, of this habit when they started nipping at the wall corners. However, today I came home to a huge hole in the wall. It seems he's been sitting on my bed and biting it. I don't even know how he created the hole, but it just keeps getting bigger and bigger. I have a roommate and the pigs are still little, so they are in my room while I'm gone during the day. How can I keep him from doing this?

Answer
Hello,
Your piglets nee to be kept in an area where they can't eat your walls.
Not only do you want to keep them from ruining your house they shouldn't be allowed to eat things that might harm them as well.
You can purchase a metal dog exercise pen.  Keep them in it along with their bedding, litter box and water dishes.
They should  only be allowed out of that area when someone is home to watch them.
You might try changing their feed as this could be a sign of vitamins and minerals missing from their diet.
The best feed and supplements I have found are on the royaldandie.com site on their product page.
Piglets should have some appropriate toys to help keep them from getting bored during the day while you are gone.
Hope this helps.
