Hi,
I have a 7 month old mini pig, named Bentley. I've had him for about a month, and he's potty trained. He was doing really good with going in the potty but recently he has been peeing while he drinks. Almost like he doesn't realize it. He also is shaking a lot, like he's cold. But we have him wrapped up in blankets most of the time when we hold him and he sleeps with a thick blanket with a couple little blankets as well, but he still shakes when we hold him or when he's laying down. Please let me know what you think. I really want him to get better. Thank you for taking time to read this.

Answer
I am not a veterinarian and can not make a medical diagnosis over the internet. The shaking is worrisome, I think piggy should see a veterinarian for that. He may need vitamins or antibiotics.

Peeing while drinking usually happens in pigs who were deprived of water. So this may or may not be connected to the constant shaking.

Start by making sure he has plenty of water available all the time. Encourage him to drink water throughout the day by giving him water mixed with a tiny bit of fruit juice.

Take him to potty as soon as he wakes up, and before each meal. This might help control the peeing. In the meantime, put some puppy pads by his water dish.
