Jimmys Spots
My 11 month old PBP has reddish brown spots going from his head all the way down to his back... it is the same color as the stuff that comes out of his eyes and ears... i'm so confused it makes him look nasty i rinse him off in the tub every other day and they wash off but the next day they start to come back its like his skin makes dirt... they are only on his back his sides and underbelly are totally pink like they should be... Please help i hate for him to look nasty but i don't want to rinse him too much even though he loves water LOL

Answer
I am not a veterinarian and can not make a medical diagnosis over the internet. In my opinion, this looks like mange.

Your vet can do a skin scraping and prescribe medicine. The skin scraping will show mites if they're present. If there's no mites, then the problem might be a skin infection. Your vet can prescribe antibiotics to fight infections.

Mange mites take about two weeks to hatch. The first dose of mange medicine kills all living mites. The second dose kills any mites that hatched after the first dose. In severe cases a third dose may be needed.
